Syndrome differentiation and treatment of pulmonary nodules with syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis based on the theory of treating pathogen accumulations-caused disease with therapy of dispersion
The pathogenesis of pulmonary nodules is characteristic of deficiency of lung qi and exopathogens invading the interior,so as to affect qi collaterals and blood collaterals of the lung by pathogens successively,still further to form the phlegm in qi collaterals and the blood stasis in blood collaterals,while intermingled phlegm in qi collaterals and blood stasis in blood collaterals form blood agglomeration,which leads to the disease finally.Based on the theory of treating pathogen accumulations-caused disease with therapy of dispersion in The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Medicine,the treatment should focus on clearing away lung-heat and dredging collaterals as well as eliminating phlegm and removing blood stasis mainly,supplemented by the methods of soothing the liver and regulating circulation of qi as well as invigorating the spleen and eliminating dampness,which provides some enlightenments and references for TCM syndrome differentiation and prescription ideas of pulmonary nodules.
