Efficacy observation of acupoint injection of mecobalamine on type 2 diabetes mellitus-caused peripheral neuropathy
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint injection of mecobalamine on type 2 diabetes mellitus-caused peripheral neuropathy.Methods:62 cases of eligible patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus-caused peripheral neuropathy were selected and randomly divided into two groups,31 cases in each group. Both groups received basic treatment. In addition, the control group was treated with oral mecobalamin tablets, while the treatment group was treated with 0.5 mg mecobalamin injection that was injected into bilateral ST 36 and GB39.For both groups, the course of treatment was 30 days. The changes of TCM syndrome score and Toronto clinical scoring system(TCSS)of patients were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 93.55%,which was higher than 67.74%of control group(P<0.05).After treatment in two groups,TCM syndrome score and TCSS of patients were lower than before treatment(P<0.01),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint injection of mecobalamin for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus-caused peripheral neuropathy can improve the clinical symptoms of patients, and the clinical efficacy is better.
