Efficacy observation of needling and heat-sensitive moxibustion on COVID-19 sequela-caused insomnia
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of needling and heat-sensitive moxibustion on COVID-19 sequela-caused insomnia.Methods:54 cases of patients with COVID-19 sequela-caused insomnia were selected and randomly divided into two groups,27 cases in each group. The control group was treated with scalp acupuncture and routine acupuncture, while the treatment group was treated plus with heat-sensitive moxibustion on tha basis of control group. The changes of sleep quality and anxiety degree were observed in both groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 88.89%,while that of control group was 62.96%,and the comparative difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment in two groups, the total scores and each score of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale(PSQI)were lower than before treatment, and the treatment group was lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);various scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)were lower than before treatment, and the treatment group was lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture and heat-sensitive moxibustion for treating COVID-19 sequela-caused insomnia can significantly relieve the clinical symptoms, improve the sleep quality of patients and alleviate the anxiety degree of patients.
