Approach to TCM syndrome characteristics of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in 145 children patients
Objective:To approach the characteristics and evolution rule of TCM syndrome of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children patients. Methods:The data of TCM syndromes of 145 children patients, who were diagnosed as mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia, were collected. The characteristics of TCM clinical syndromes of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in the children patients were analyzed on the admission day,the third-and fifth-day of admission. Results:Among 145 children patients with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia,on the admission day,the third-and fifth-day of admission, the frequencies of cough and expectoration were the highest, followed by pharyngeal redness and fever. The characteristics of tongue picture as follows:the tongue pictures all were red tongue mainly, and the proportion of deep-red tongue on the third day of admission was 18.62%,which was higher than 7.59%on the admission day;the most common tongue pictures on the admission day were yellow coating(35.86%),yellow and thin coating(22.07%)and yellowish and greasy coating(13.79%);the most common tongue pictures on the third day of admission were white and thin coating(26.21%),yellow coating(21.38%),yellow and thick coating(20.00%),yellowish and greasy coating(15.17%);The most common tongue pictures on the fifth day of admission were white and thin coating(61.38%).On the admission day, there were four kind of TCM syndrome types of children patients in total i.e.wind-heat blocking the lung syndrome(78.63%),phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome(15.17%),phlegm-damp accumulating in the lung syndrome(4.14%)and wind-cold invading the lung syndrome(2.07%);while on the third-and fifth-day of admission,TCM syndrome types were wind-heat blocking the lung syndrome(51.03%),phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome(44.83%)and phlegm-damp accumulating in the lung syndrome(4.14%).Conclusion:At the early stage of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children patients,wind-heat blocking the lung syndrome is the most common. But with the progression of the disease, the proportion of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome will increase;and at the same time,it may be intermingled with pathological factors such as blood stasis and dampness etc.Clinical treatment should focus on dispelling wind pathogens, clearing heat and resolving phlegm, and combine with the application of drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis as well as dissipating dampness.
