Effects of yin-yang harmonizing acupuncture therapy and motor imagery therapy on hemiplegia patients with convalescent cerebral infarction
Objective:To observe the effects of yin-yang harmonizing acupuncture therapy and motor imagery therapy on lower extremity motor function, walking ability and balance ability of hemiplegia patients with convalescent cerebral infarction.Methods:80 cases of eligible hemiplegic patients with convalescent cerebral infarction were selected as researched objects and randomly divided into two groups,40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated by routine rehabilitation training. In addition, the control group was treated by motor imagery therapy, while the treatment group was treated plus by yin-yang harmonizing acupuncture therapy on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, lower extremity motor function, walking ability and balance ability of patients were compared between two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 95.00%,which was higher than 77.50%of control group(P<0.05).The scores of D-zone and E-zone in gross motor function measure(GMFM)of treatment group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).6-minute walking test(6MWT)of treatment group was higher than that of control group, while 10-meter walking test(10MWT)and Timed Up and Go test(TUG)of treatment group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).X-axis speed mean value,Y-axis speed mean value,X-axis moving distance and Y-axis moving distance of treatment group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yin-yang harmonizing acupuncture therapy and motor imagery therapy can effectively improve the lower extremity motor function and walking ability of hemiplegia patients with convalescent cerebral infarction, enhance their balance ability, and improve the therapeutic effect.
