Efficacy observation of Qishen Huoshen decoction on chronic renal failure in the early-and mid-stage
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Qishen Huoshen decoction on chronic renal failure in the early-and mid-stage.Methods:92 cases of eligible patients with chronic renal failure with syndrome of deficiency of spleen and kidney and obstruction due to turbid toxin and blood stasis were selected and randomly divided into two groups,46 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine western medicine,while the treatment group was treated plus with Qishen Huoshen decoction of Chinese herbal medicine on the basis of control group.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The levels of serum creatinine(Scr),urea nitrogen(BUN),serum cystatin C(Cys-C)and 24-hour urinary total protein(24hU-TP)as well as TCM syndrome score and clinical efficacy of patients were compared between two groups before and after treatment.Results:The total effective rate was 84.78％in the treatment group and 60.87％in the control group,and the comparative difference between two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of BUN,Scr,24hU-TP and Cys-C of treatment group were lower than those of control group(P＜0.05);TCM syndrome scores of patients in treatment group,such as shortness of breath and lazy talk,burnout and fatigue,less eating and anorexia,etc.were significantly reduced compared with before treatment,and which was lower than in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of Qishen Huoshen decoction on chronic renal failure in the early-and mid-stage and with syndrome of deficiency of spleen and kidney and obstruction due to turbid toxin and blood stasis is better,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and renal function of patients.
