Efficacy observation of Qige Weiling capsule on diabetic peripheral neuropathy
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Qige Weiling capsule on diabetic peripheral neuropathy with syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin intermingled with blood stasis.Methods:120 cases of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy with syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin intermingled with blood stasis were selected and randomly divided into two groups,60 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with Qige Weiling capsule, while the control group was treated with oral mecobalamin tablets.Clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score,Toronto Clinical Scoring System(TCSS)score, nerve conduction velocity and adverse reactions etc.of patients were compared between two groups after 8 weeks of treatment. Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 91.67%,which was better than 68.33%of control group(P<0.05).After treatment in both groups, the syndrome scores of numbness and pain of limbs as well as calf convulsions of patients were decreased significantly(P<0.05);TCSS scores were decreased significantly(P<0.05);the motor nerve conduction velocities of common peroneal nerve and posterior tibial nerve were significantly increased;and the improvement of treatment group was better than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Qige Weiling capsule can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy with syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin intermingled with blood stasis, increase TCSS score, and improve nerve conduction velocity. Its clinical efficacy is better.
