Efficacy observation of surround needling in two parts and three areas of head and neck and massage on cervical vertigo
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of surround needling in two parts and three areas of head and neck and massage on cervical vertigo.Methods:52 cases of eligible patients with cervical vertigo were selected and studied by N-of-1 trial.At the first,the neck muscles of patient were released by massage manipulation in the sitting position;then,the cervical vertebra was stretched and straightened longitudinally in the supine position;ffinally,head-centered head and neck were needled by surround needling in the sitting position,and by electroacupuncture.Symptom of cervical vertigo and scores of evaluation scale for cervical vertigo(ESCV)and visual analogue scale(VAS)were evaluated before and after treatment as well as after 3 months of treatment.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate was 96.15%;in the follow-up after 3 months,the total effective rate was 90.38%.After treatment,the scores of ESCV and VAS were improved compared with before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant compared follow-up for 3 months with before and after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:The short-and medium-term efficacy of surround needling in two parts and three areas of head and neck and massage on cervical vertigo is better,which can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with cervical vertigo and enhance their quality of life.
