Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Chaipu decoction on chest tightness variant asthma with syndrome of obstruction of phlegm and qi.Methods:64 cases of eligible patients with chest tightness variant asthma with syndrome of obstruction of phlegm and qi were randomly divided into two groups,32 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral montelukast,while the treatment group was treated plus with Chaipu decoction on the basis of control group.The clinical efficacy was compared between two groups.Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 93.75％,which was higher than 78.13％of control group,and the comparative difference between two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of eosinophils(EOS)in peripheral blood,total IgE in serum and fractional exhaled nitric oxide(FeNO)of treatment group were lower than those of control group(P＜0.05);the levels of forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)and peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)of treatment group were higher than those of control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of Chaipu decoction on chest tightness variant asthma with syndrome of obstruction of phlegm and qi is better,which can reduce inflammatory reaction and improve lung function.
