Efficacy observation of needling-exercise therapy on lumbar muscle strain
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of needling-exercise therapy on lumbar muscle strain.Methods:60 cases of patients with lumbar muscle strain were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated by routine needling at selected acupoints, while the treatment group was treated plus by needling at selected unilateral lumbago points and exercising waist on the basis of control group. Both groups were treated 5 times a week, for 2 weeks.Changes of clinical efficacy, pain visual analogue scale(VAS)score and Oswestry disability index(simplified ODI)score were observed in two groups before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was 93.10%,which was significantly higher than 78.57%of control group(P<0.05).In both groups after treatment,VAS score of patients was lower than pre-treatment(P<0.05),and VAS score of treatment group was lower than that of control group(P<0.05);simplified ODI score of patients was lower than pre-treatment(P<0.05),and simplified ODI score of treatment group was lower than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Needling-exercise therapy can obviously relieve the pain of patients with lumbar muscle strain and improve lumbar dysfunction.
