Research Progress on the Mechanism of Gut Microbiota in the Treatment of Asthma with Traditional Chinese Medicine
Asthma is a disease characterized by repeated wheezing,shortness of breath,chest tightness,and coug-hing.The specific pathogenesis is currently unclear,and Western medicine has no effective method to cure asthma.The gut microbiota affects the onset of asthma through interactions with metabolites,the immune system,and the intestinal mu-cosal barrier,making it one of the research hotspots in recent years.Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),based on the differentiation of internal organs,has found that TCM can alleviate asthma symptoms by regulating gut microbiota and meta-bolic products,and has great potential in the prevention and treatment of asthma.Therefore,in-depth research to reveal the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine in treating asthma can provide new ideas for clinical treatment and bas-ic research.
