Analysis of the Diagnostic Value of Obesity Indicators for Metabolic Syndrome in Patients with Phlegm Dampness Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Objective To investigate the correlation between different obesity indicators and metabolic syndrome in pa-tients with phlegm dampness polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods A total of 360 patients with phlegm dampness type poly-cystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)were reviewed.Based on whether they met the diagnostic criteria for metabolic syndrome(MS),the study subjects were divided into a non MS group of 216 cases and an MS group of 144 cases;Compare the differences in sex hormone levels and clinical characteristics within the group, and evaluate the predictive value of various obesity indicators for MS in patients with phlegm dampness type PCOS.Results The levels of sex hormones LH,SHBG,P,DHEAS,and LH/FSH in the MS group were lower than those in the non MS group(P<0.05);The BH,BW,WC,HC,BMI,WHR,BRI,ABSI,CI,BAI,AVI,LAP,and VAI in the MS group were all higher than those in the non MS group(P<0.05);The use of subject work curves to evaluate obesity indicators has predictive value(P<0.05)in the diagnosis of phlegm dampness type PCOS combined with MS.Conclusion Different obesity indicators have good predictive value for MS in patients with phlegm dampness type PCOS,among which LAP,VAI,and AVI have the best predictive value for MS in patients with phlegm dampness type PCOS.
