Clinical Study on the Prevention of Lower Limb Venous Thrombosis after MIS-TLIF Surgery with Modified Buyang Huanwu Decoction
Objective To explore the effect of modified Buyang Huanwu decoction on preventing lower limb venous thrombosis after minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion surgery(MIS-TLIF).Methods Sixty patients who underwent MIS-TLIF surgery in the Orthopedics Department of Jingdezhen Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2021 to November 2023 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected as cases. They were randomly divided in-to an observation group and a control group, with 30 patients in each group. The observation group used modified Buyang Huanwu decoction combined with oral administration of nadroparin calcium for prevention; The control group was prevented with nadroparin calcium;By observing the results of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Low Back Pain Scale(JOA score),D-2 polymer,Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time(APTT),and Prothrombin Time(PT)at 13 and 21 days af-ter surgery.Evaluate the clinical efficacy of modified Buyang Huanwu decoction. Results There was no statistically signifi-cant difference in postoperative 13 day PTT,PT,D-2 polymer, and JOA scores between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).There was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in postoperative 21 day APTT,PT,D-2 polymer, and JOA scores between the two groups of patients. The observation group had higher APTT,PT,and JOA scores than the con-trol group, while the observation group had lower D-2 polymer scores than the control group. Conclusion The modified Buy-ang Huanwu decoction can prevent lower limb venous thrombosis and restore lumbar spine function by altering the body's anticoagulant mechanism and inhibiting platelet aggregation.
