Modernization is a concrete and historical process for any country,and it is no exception for Chinese path to modernization,which is deeply rooted in the unique Chinese traditional culture.The Communist Party of China has ultimately formulated the five main features for the path to socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics by abstract inheritance of reasonable elements of the tradi-tional Chinese culture,exploration of implied connotation of the traditional components,and empowerment of the new time value.Spe-cifically,the modernization of the population is based on governance concept of"Great Unification"featuring vast territory and huge population;that of shared prosperity is originated from people-centered thought of"people-orientation and people-enrichment";that of the balance between material and spiritual civilization is the promotion of the morality outlook of"full granary for observance of eti-quette"and"diligence and elegance";that of harmonious coexistence of man and nature is developed from"unity between man and heaven"and"the law of nature";and the modernization of peaceful development is the deepening of the Confucian Datong concept of"harmony in diversity"and"the universal harmony of the world".In summary,China's path to modernization is developed by integra-tion of Marxist theory with traditional Chinese culture.
