Relationship between phase particle size and development temperature and time of SBS modified asphalt
In order to study the relationship between phase particle size and development temperature and time of SBS-modi-fied asphalt,and improve the detection efficiency of thermal storage stability of SBS modified asphalt,the fluorescence micro-scopic phase observation and performance detection of different types of SBS modified asphalt were carried out.The self-com-piled image recognition program based on the connected domain labeling algorithm was used to quantify the fluorescence mi-croscopic phase size.The results show that the phase particle size of SBS modified asphalt is in good linear relationship with the development time,and the coefficient of determination R2 is higher than 0.96.The time and temperature have significant complementarity to the phase particle size.The phase particle size has an important influence on the segregation test results of modified asphalt.According to the phase particle size range,the thermal storage stability is divided into three states:stable,metastable and unstable.The phase particle size can replace the segregation index as the control parameter to quickly charac-terize the thermal storage stability of SBS modified asphalt.The linear regression equation of development temperature and time parameters is established with the phase particle size of 1.8 and 1.6 μm as the reference condition.The absolute time deviation between the predicted and measured values is basically controlled within 30 min,and the relative deviation was ba-sically controlled within 10%.The method of determining the development temperature and time of SBS modified asphalt pro-duction with phase particle size of 1.8 and 1.6 μm,the modified asphalt has balanced road performance and good thermal storage stability.
