Discharge characteristics of"8"-shaped disc seal screw pump
The disc seal screw pump(DSSP)has the advantages of large displacement,small wear,strong medium adapta-bility,and so on.However,there are some problems with its use,such as there exists large vibration,and it is unable to a-chieve the complete self-drive.Given these problems,an"8"-shaped disc seal screw pump("8"-DSSP)was proposed.Based on the working principle of the"8"-DSSP,the geometric model of the pumping process was constructed.Then the mathematical model of the discharge volume of the"8"-DSSP was established,and the influence mechanism of the profile parameters of the meshing pair on the working characteristics of the discharge process was analyzed.The results show that,in one rotation cycle,the screw groove of the pressurization section is divided into two chambers by the sealing disc,and the discharge volume of the"8"-DSSP is about 55.7% higher than that of the DSSP under the same radius.The discharge vol-ume is linearly proportional to the change in the radius of the big circle,the radius of the transition arc and the radius of the screw.
