Effect of void density on combustion characteristics of porous medium burners
The mathematical-physical model of the porous media combustor was established, and numerical calculations were carried out using the Fluent simulation software to study the effects of changes in the porosity of the porous media on the com-bustion characteristics and pollutant emissions. The results show that as the pore density increases, the flame region gradually moves downstream.Along the flow direction the pore density from 10PPI gradually increases to 45PPI,and this changing structure is more conducive to heat transfer.Compared with other pore density distribution,it has better combustion charac-teristics,the NOx generation is relatively low,and in the radial direction the internal encryption structure has higher combus-tion temperatures and the upper limit of stable combustion.
