Changes of functional group and hydrogen bonds in asphaltene pre-and-post hydrotreating
The functional group and hydrogen bonds of different asphaltene, which were separated by different solvents from YMAR and MRAR pre-and-post hydrotreating in residue and decalin, was investigated by infrared spectroscopy. The results show that the carbon skeleton of asphaltenes is mainly composed of highly fused aromatic structure and the saturated structure is further decreased in hydrotreated asphaltene.Pyrrolic and pyridine are the main existing forms of nitrogen and its contents increase after hydrotreating in asphaltene.Hydroxyl group is the main form of oxygen and there is almost no carbonyl group in asphaltene. In addition to thiophene structure, thioether and sulfoxide structure also exist in asphaltene. The main forms of hydrogen bond in proto-asphaltene is hydroxyl self-association hydrogen bond. The number of ring Hydroxyl and OH-N hydro-gen bonds is increased, while the hydroxyl self-association,OH—O and OH-π hydrogen bonds is decreased in hydrotreated asphaltene.
