Analysis of the therapeutic effect of metronidazole in the clinical treatment of bacterial vaginitis
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of metronidazole treatment for bacterial vaginitis. Methods 66 patients with bacterial vaginitis and divide them into a control group and an experimental group based on odd and even numbers, with 33 cases in each group. The control group received metronidazole vaginal suppository therapy, while the experimental group received oral metronidazole tablets in combination with the control group.Compare the clinical efficacy of two groups of patients. Results After treatment, the experimental group had lower scores for vaginal burning pain, vaginal discharge odor, increased vaginal discharge, and external genital itching symptoms compared to the control group(P<0.05).The vaginal pH and cleanliness in the experimental group were better than those in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.94%higher than that of the control group, which was 75.76%,and the recurrence rate was 3.03%lower than that of the control group, which was 18.18%(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of metronidazole vaginal suppositories and metronidazole tablets oral therapy has a more ideal effect in treating patients with bacterial vaginitis. It can significantly improve and eliminate abnormal vaginal and vaginal discharge symptoms, effectively improve vaginal pH and cleanliness, and also reduce the recurrence rate.It has high clinical application value.
