Application value of metformin combined with ethinylestradiol cyproterone in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of metformin combined with ethinestradiol cyproterone in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome.Methods 60 patients with polycystic ovary syndrome were divided into two groups according to envelope method,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with ethinylestradiol cyproterone,and the study group was treated with metformin based on the control group.The sex hormone levels,insulin levels,menstrual regularity and ovulation recovery were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the levels of testosterone(T),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2)and luteinizing hormone(LH)in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,fasting insulin(FINS)and insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and insulin secretion index(HOMA-β)was higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The recovery rate of menstrual regularity in the study group was 93.33％higher than that in the control group(73.33％),and the recovery rate of ovulation was 96.67％higher than that in the control group(80.00％)(P＜0.05).Conclusion Ethoestradiol cyproterone combined with metformin can improve the levels of sex hormones and insulin in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome,and promote the regularity of menstruation and ovulation recovery,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
