The effect of medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets combined with hysteroscopic surgery in the treatment of endometrial polyps
Objective To explore the clinical effect of medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets combined with hysteroscopic surgery in the treatment of endometrial polyps.Methods 500 patients with endometrial polyps in our hospital were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into two groups,with 250 cases in each group.The control group was treated with hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy,while the experimental group was treated with medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets on the basis of the control group.The menstrual volume,endometrial thickness,sex hormone indicators,and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared.Results At 6 months after surgery,the menstrual volume in the experimental group was less than that in the control group,and the endometrial thickness was smaller than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05);The progesterone levels in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group at 3 and 6 months after surgery,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05);At 6 months after surgery,the recurrence rate in the experimental group was 1.20％,lower than the 19.60％in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets and hysteroscopic surgery for the treatment of endometrial polyps can reduce menstrual flow,reduce endometrial thickness,improve progesterone levels,and have a low recurrence rate,which is safe and reliable.
