Objective To study the effect of prenatal psychological intervention on estrogen and postpartum depression. Methods 98 expectant parturients were selected and divided into control group and observation group with 49 parturients in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received prenatal psychological intervention on the basis of the control group. The degree of depression, sleep quality and estrogen levels were compared between the two groups Results After intervention, the edinburgh postpartum depression scale(EPDS)(11.23±1.65)points and pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)points(4.76±1.38)points of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(14.45±1.87)points and(9.31±2.67)points,respectively,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The estradiol(E2)level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group 14 days postpartum, and the progesterone(P)level was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Prenatal psychological intervention can not only reduce the incidence of postpartum depression, but also promote the normal level of maternal estrogen and progesterone,so as to improve the quality of sleep, which has high clinical application value.
