The application effect of special staining technology for cervical exfoliated cells in cervical cancer screening
Objective To exploring the application effect of special staining techniques for cervical exfoliated cells in cervical cancer screening. Methods 101 women screened for cervical cancer in the gynecological outpatient department of our hospital were selected as the research subjects, all of whom underwent liquid based thin-layer cell(TCT)and special staining techniques for cervical exfoliated cells. The pathological results of cervical biopsy under colposcopy were used as the gold standard to compare the diagnostic efficacy of the two examination methods. Results The pathological examination of cervical tissue showed 35 positive cases, with a positive rate of 34.7%;The sensitivity of TCT examination was 31.7%,specificity was 61.0%,positive predictive value was 54.3%,negative predictive value was 37.9%,and accuracy was 43.6%,which was lower than the 46.5%,74.1%,57.1%,65.2%,and 62.3%of cervical exfoliated cell special staining techniques. Conclusion The special staining technique for cervical exfoliated cells is a non-invasive examination, with high portability, simple operation, fast detection, economic practicality, and no dependence on pathologists. It is suitable for population census or cervical cancer census in remote areas with relatively backward detection technology and equipment,as well as for cervical cancer census in grassroots hospitals.
