Clinical evaluation of microbial testing applied in vaginitis testing
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of microbial testing in the detection of vaginitis.Method 100 suspected patients with vaginitis in our hospital were selected as the research subjects.Vaginal secretions were collected and samples were sent to the laboratory for microbiological testing. The testing methods included routine microscopy, culture method, and agglutination method.Based on the clinical comprehensive diagnostic results, the positive detection rates of microbiological tests such as routine microscopy, culture method, and agglutination method were compared, and their value in the diagnosis of vaginitis was evaluated. Results The positive detection rate of routine microscopy was higher than that of culture and agglutination methods.Referring to clinical comprehensive diagnostic results, the accuracy and sensitivity of routine microscopy in the diagnosis of vaginitis were higher than those of culture and agglutination methods, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Microbial testing is applied in the examination of vaginitis, and conventional microscopy has higher sensitivity and accuracy, with higher application value.
