The impact of behavioral nursing intervention on urinary tract related complications and quality of life in patients with indwelling catheters after gynecological surgery
Objective To explore the impact of implementing behavioral nursing interventions on urinary tract related complications and quality of life in patients with indwelling catheters after gynecological surgery. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of 60 gynecological patients with postoperative indwelling catheters admitted to our hospital.30 gynecological patients with postoperative indwelling catheters who received routine nursing intervention were set as the control group, and 30 gynecological patients with postoperative indwelling catheters who received behavioral nursing intervention were set as the observation group.Urinary tube related complications(urinary tract infection, urinary retention, etc.)and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the incidence of urinary tract related complications in the observation group was 26.67%,significantly lower than the control group's 60.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the quality of life scores between the two groups(P>0.05);After intervention, the quality of life score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Behavioral nursing intervention can effectively reduce the incidence of urinary tract related complications in patients with indwelling catheters after gynecological surgery, which is beneficial for improving the quality of life of patients.
