Study on the prevalence and risk factors of chronic endometritis in infertility patients with intrauterine diseases
Objective To investigate the prevalence of chronic endometritis(CE)in infertility patients with intrauterine diseases and analyze its risk factors. Methods A total of 478 infertility patients were selected as the study subjects, with intrauterine diseases as the study group(n=369)and without intrauterine diseases as the control group(n=109).Endometrial samples were collected during the operation, and CD38 and CD138 immunohistochemical staining were performed to diagnose CE and analyze the prevalence rate of CE.The risk factors of CE were analyzed by univariate analysis and multiple Logistic regression. Results There were significant differences in age, infertility years and delivery times between the two groups(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in body mass index(BMI)and pregnancy times between the two groups(P>0.05).The prevalence of CE in patients without intrauterine diseases, endometrial polyps, uterine submucous myoma,IUA,uterine diverticulum and mediastinal uterus was 55.05%,63.04%,50.00%,56.83%,52.63%and 42.86%,respectively.There was no significant difference in the prevalence of CE in patients with intrauterine diseases(P>0.05).The pregnancy rate of CE patients without intrauterine disease and those with intrauterine disease after treatment was 20.00%and 26.76%,respectively,with no statistical significance(P>0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that endometrial polyp was a risk factor for CE.Conclusion Endometrial polyps are the risk factors of CE.CE has an impact on pregnancy, and for infertility patients, there is a higher prevalence of CE,it is recommended that treatment should be given before childbirth.
