Research progress on pathogenesis of premature rupture of membranes before term
Preterm rupture of membranes(PPROM)is a kind of obstetric complication with high frequency and greater risk in obstetrics, which is one of the main reasons leading to premature delivery of fetus. If not timely targeted treatment,it will seriously threaten the life of mother and child. In the existing studies,PPROM is related to many factors, such as reproductive tract infection,maternal-fetal factors, bad living habits, genetic related diseases, etc.,and their interaction and influence ultimately lead to the degradation and rupture of fetal membrane.Preterm premature rupture of fetal membrane has a complex pathogenesis. This article reviews the research progress in the pathogenesis of PPROM,discusses the risk factors and mechanisms leading to weakening of fetal membrane, and provides clues and methods for reducing the incidence of PPROM.
