Evaluation of the effect of nutritional care during pregnancy on iron deficiency anemia and maternal and infant outcomes
Objective To investigate the effect of prenatal nutrition and health care for pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy and its influence on maternal and infant outcomes. Methods A total of 146 pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy were selected as the study objects and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 73 cases in each group. The control group was given routine prenatal examination and random education, oral oral iron dextran tablets and vitamin C tablets, and the observation group was given nutritional health intervention during pregnancy on the basis of the control group. The levels of hemoglobin(Hb),red blood cell count(RBC),ferritin(SF)and maternal and infant outcomes of the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there were no significant differences in Hb,RBC and SF levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of Hb,RBC and SF in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of pregnancy complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Prenatal nutrition and health care for pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia can effectively control anemia and improve maternal and infant outcomes, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
