Effect of insulin on gestational diabetes mellitus
Objective To investigate the effect of insulin therapy in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods A total of 60 pregnant women with GDM waiting for delivery were selected as the study objects and divided into control group and study group according to the odd and even number of lots, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional therapy, and the study group received insulin pump(continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion,CSII)therapy.Adverse reactions, incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and blood glucose indexes were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, there was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse pregnancy outcome in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in Fasting blood glucose(FBG)and 2 h postprandial blood glucose(2hPBG)levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of FBG and 2hPBG in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion CSII is effective in the treatment of pregnant women with GDM,which can regulate the level of blood sugar in pregnant women, improve the adverse pregnancy outcome, and is safe, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
