Analysis of the effect of acupuncture and azasetron treatment on reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting after hysteroscopy
Objective To explore the effect of acupuncture and azasetron treatment on reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting after hysteroscopy. Methods 50 patients undergoing hysteroscopic surgery in our hospital were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into two groups, with 25 cases in each group. One group received azasetron treatment(azasetron group),and the other group received acupuncture treatment(acupuncture group). The nausea and vomiting symptoms, adverse reactions, and pain scores of the two groups were compared. Results The nausea symptom score of the azasetron group was lower than that of the acupuncture group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference in vomiting symptom score between the two groups(P>0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in allergic reaction and local reaction scores between the two groups(P>0.05),the scores of other adverse reactions in the azasetron group were lower than those in the acupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the scores of the visual analogue scale between the two groups at 4,8,12,and 24 hours after surgery(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture treatment is equivalent to azasetron in reducing nausea and vomiting symptoms after hysteroscopic surgery. It is recommended to expand the sample size and extend the observation time in the future to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the two treatment methods, and optimize the comprehensive treatment strategy.
