The preventive effect of ergometrine combined with oxytocin on postpartum hemorrhage
Objective To explore the preventive effect of ergometrine combined with oxytocin on postpartum hemorrhage. Methods 62 cesarean section parturients admitted to the obstetrics department of our hospital were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oxytocin, while the experimental group was treated with ergometrine combined with oxytocin. Results The postpartum bleeding volume, hemostasis time,24-hour postpartum hemoglobin indicators, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. The results showed that the experimental group had less bleeding at 1 hour,2 hours, and 24 hours postpartum than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The hemostasis time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group, and the hemoglobin level at 24 hours postpartum was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of ergometrine and oxytocin has a significant preventive effect on postpartum hemorrhage, effectively reducing the amount of postpartum hemorrhage without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.
