The effect of self-made traditional Chinese medicine decoction on postpartum abdominal pain
Objective To explore the effect of self-made traditional Chinese medicine decoction on postpartum abdominal pain.Methods 40 patients with postpartum abdominal pain in our hospital were selected as the research subjects and divided into two groups using a random number table method,with 20 cases in each group.The control group received routine treatment,while the study group received self formulated traditional Chinese medicine decoction for treatment on the basis of routine treatment.The treatment effects,pain level,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,and lochia discharge were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was 95.00%,which was higher than the 70.00%of the control group(P<0.05);At 24 hours postpartum,48 hours postpartum,and 72 hours postpartum,the scores of the visual simulation scale in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);After treatment,the study group had lower scores for vaginal bleeding,lower abdominal pain,and lochia lumps compared to the control group(P<0.05);The duration of lochia in the study group was shorter than that in the control group,and the amount of lochia excreted on day 1,day 3,and day 7 postpartum was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Self formulated traditional Chinese medicine decoction has a significant effect on treating postpartum abdominal pain,and can significantly improve the pain level and TCM syndrome score of patients.It is worth promoting.
