The nursing effect of pain management combined with palliative care on advanced ovarian cancer patients
Objective To explore the nursing effect of pain management combined with palliative care on advanced ovarian cancer patients.Methods 32 patients with advanced ovarian cancer in our hospital were selected as the research subjects and divided into two groups using a random number table method,with 16 cases in each group.The control group received routine care,while the observation group received pain management combined with palliative care.The anxiety,depression,sleep quality,and quality of life of the two groups were compared.Results After nursing,the scores of the self rating anxiety scale,self rating depression scale,and Pittsburgh sleep quality scale in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The physical condition,social/family status,relationship with physicians,emotional status,functional status,and specific module scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of pain management combined with palliative care for advanced ovarian cancer patients can significantly improve their anxiety,depression,and sleep quality,enhance their quality of life,and can be widely promoted in clinical practice.
