A comparative study on the clinical efficacy of hysteroscopic resection and curettage in the treatment of infertility caused by endometrial polyps
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of hysteroscopic resection and curettage in the treatment of infertility caused by endometrial polyps. Methods 100 patients with infertility caused by endometrial polyps in our hospital were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The electrocautery group was treated with hysteroscopic resection, while the curettage group was treated with curettage. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The surgical time and hospitalization time of patients in the electrocautery group were shorter than those in the curettage group, and the intraoperative blood volume was lower than that in the curettage group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the electrocautery group was lower than that in the curettage group(P<0.05).The pregnancy rate within one year of follow-up in the electrocautery group was higher than that in the curettage group(P<0.05).Conclusion Hysteroscopic electrocautery has significant advantages in treating endometrial polyps, with low intraoperative bleeding, low incidence of postoperative complications, and minimal impact on patient fertility. It is recommended to promote and apply it.
