A study on the therapeutic effect of Bakri balloon filling in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage with central placenta previa
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Bakri balloon packing in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage with central placenta previa. Methods 70 patients with central placenta previa and postpartum hemorrhage in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received uterine gauze tamponade treatment, while the observation group received Bakri balloon tamponade treatment. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was analyzed. Results The observation group had shorter surgical time, hospital stay, postpartum lochia time, menstrual cycle, and menstrual recovery time compared to the control group. The blood transfusion volume, intraoperative bleeding volume, and postoperative 24 hour bleeding volume were less than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of Bakri balloon tamponade in postpartum hemorrhage with central placenta previa can further reduce intraoperative and 24 hour postoperative bleeding, reduce postoperative complications, improve patient quality of life, and has significant clinical application value, which is worth promoting.
