The effect of metronidazole combined with Baofukang suppository on clinical symptoms and recurrence rate in patients with atrophic vaginitis
Objective To explore the effect of metronidazole combined with Baofukang suppository on clinical symptoms and recurrence rate in patients with atrophic vaginitis.Methods 76 retired female faculty members who participated in physical examinations and were diagnosed with atrophic vaginitis were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into two groups using a random number table method,with 38 cases in each group.The control group was treated with tibolone+metronidazole gel,and the observation group was treated with tibolone+metronidazole gel+Baofukang suppository.Observe the efficacy,vaginal cleanliness,serum levels,and disease recurrence rate of two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of treatment,total efficiency of vaginal cleanliness,and serum estradiol levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,while serum follicle stimulating hormone levels and disease recurrence rate were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of metronidazole and Baofukang suppository can improve clinical symptoms and reduce disease recurrence rate in patients with atrophic vaginitis,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
