Analysis of the effect of catheter balloon combined with low-dose oxytocin on late pregnancy induced labor
Objective To explore the clinical effect of using a catheter balloon combined with low-dose oxytocin in late pregnancy induced abortion patients and its impact on delivery methods and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Methods 40 late pregnancy patients who underwent induced abortion in the obstetrics and gynecology department of our hospital were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into two groups using a systematic blind selection method, with 20 cases in each group. The control group underwent catheter balloon abortion, while the observation group received low-dose oxytocin in addition to the catheter balloon abortion procedure.Compare the treatment effects and delivery outcomes between two groups. Results The total effective rate of cervical maturation in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The vaginal delivery rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of catheter balloon and low-dose oxytocin has an ideal effect on the treatment of late pregnancy induced abortion patients, which can promote cervical maturation, improve vaginal delivery rate, and reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
