The diagnostic value of serum HCG and progesterone levels in early threatened miscarriage
Objective To explore the clinical diagnostic value of serum human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG)and progesterone levels in early threatened miscarriage. Methods 80 patients with early threatened miscarriage were selected as the observation group, and 80 healthy pregnant women during the same period were selected as the control group. Both groups underwent serum HCG and progesterone level tests to compare and analyze the diagnostic efficacy. Results The detection rate of serum HCG and progesterone levels in the observation group was 88.75%and 91.75%,both lower than the combined detection rate of 98.75%(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in the detection rates of serum HCG and progesterone levels(P>0.05).The serum HCG and progesterone levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Both serum HCG and progesterone levels can detect early threatened preterm birth, but the combined use is more effective, can improve diagnostic efficiency, reduce clinical misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
