The impact of continuity of care on treatment compliance of postoperative chemotherapy patients with ovarian cancer
Objective To explore the impact of continuity of care on the treatment compliance of postoperative chemotherapy patients with ovarian cancer. Methods 76 ovarian cancer patients who underwent surgical treatment and chemotherapy in our hospital were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received continuity nursing on the basis of the control group. The self-care ability, compliance, and complications of the two groups of patients were compared before and after intervention. Results After intervention, the self-care ability of both groups improved compared to before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).The compliance of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the incidence of complications was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing continuous nursing intervention for postoperative chemotherapy patients with ovarian cancer can improve their self-care ability and compliance, reduce the incidence of complications, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
