Association between maternal dietary protein intake and risk of GDM and analysis of nutritional strategies
Objective To analyze the relationship between maternal dietary protein intake and the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM),and to propose targeted nutritional strategies. Methods According to the results of oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT)at 24~28 weeks of gestation,90 pregnant women were divided into normal group and GDM group. The data of the two groups and dietary protein intake during pregnancy were compared, and the relationship between dietary protein intake and GDM was analyzed, and the targeted nutrition strategy was proposed. Results GDM occurred in 17 of 90 pregnant women(18.89%).Age,pre-pregnancy body mass index(BMI),pregnancy times, adverse pregnancy history, dietary protein intake, animal protein intake and other plant protein intake in GDM group were higher than those in normal group, and legumes protein intake was lower than that in normal group(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age, animal protein intake, legume protein intake and other vegetable protein intake were related to the risk of GDM(P<0.05).Conclusion Dietary protein intake of pregnant women is related to the risk of GDM,so the type and intake of protein should be balanced during pregnancy.
