Effect of insulin on blood glucose level and pregnancy outcome in pregnant women with gestational diabetes during different pregnancies
Objective To analyze the clinical value of insulin therapy for pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus in different pregnancies. Methods 48 pregnant women with gestational diabetes were selected and divided into control group(32 weeks and after)and study group(before 32 weeks)according to the gestational age of insulin application,24 cases each. The blood glucose level, delivery and pregnancy outcome before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, fasting blood glucose(FPG)and 2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 hPG)in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The blood glucose at delivery was lower in the study group than in the control group, and the mean gestational age at delivery was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse pregnancy outcome in the study group lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Subcutaneous injection of insulin before 32 weeks of gestation in pregnant women with gestational diabetes can help control blood glucose level and improve pregnancy outcome, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
