Clinical efficacy of cefotaxime combined with ornidazole in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of cefotaxime combined with metronidazole in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease. Methods 60 patients with pelvic inflammatory disease were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into two groups, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received simple treatment with metronidazole, while the study group received treatment with cefotaxime combined with metronidazole. The treatment effects and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 90.00%,which was higher than the control group's 73.33%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 6.67%,lower than the control group's 30.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of cefotaxime and metronidazole can significantly improve the treatment effect of pelvic inflammatory disease, with a low incidence of adverse reactions, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
