Investigation and analysis of influencing factors of human papillomavirus vaccine cognition and vaccination intention among female college students in Sichuan Normal University
Objective To investigate the cognition and attitude of female college students towards human papillomavirus(HPV)and its preventive vaccine,and to provide theoretical basis for preventive HPV vaccination program.Methods A random sampling method was used to investigate female college students in Sichuan Normal University with a self-designed questionnaire called"Questionnaire on the cognition status of preventive HPV vaccine".A total of 220 questionnaires were distributed in this survey,of which 200 were effective,with an effective rate of 90.9%.Results Among 200 female college students,188(94.0%)knew about cervical cancer,and 46(23.0%)knew about HPV and the preventive HPV vaccine.The rate of prophylactic HPV vaccination among female college students was low only 3(1.5%).The results showed that whether they knew about cervical cancer,whether they knew that HPV might cause cervical cancer,whether they knew that HPV vaccine could prevent cervical cancer,whether they had been vaccinated or were receiving HPV vaccine,whether they were willing to vaccinate HPV vaccine,whether they agreed to promote the vaccine in China and other factors had an impact on the willingness of female college students to vaccinate(P<0.05).Conclusion Female college students can receive HPV vaccine to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer.
