Clinical analysis of 36 cases of pubic symphysis separation in pregnant and postpartum women
Objective To investigate the risk factors and prevention and treatment methods of pubic symphysis separation in pregnant and parturient women. Methods The clinical data of 36 pregnant women with symphysis pubis separation and 39 pregnant women without symphysis pubis separation were retrospectively analyzed. Results The body mass index of pregnant women in the case group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the proportion of vaginal delivery and initial delivery was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in age, neonatal weight and lateral incision between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no history of emergency labor or forceps delivery. All cases were treated conservatively and followed up to 4~6 weeks postpartum. The pain was significantly relieved or disappeared, and the separation distance of symphysis pubis was reduced. Conclusion The incidence of pubic symphysis separation in pregnant women is low in body mass index, and the incidence of pubic symphysis separation in early labor and vaginal delivery is high. However, the cause of pubic symphysis separation in pregnant women is complex, and further research is needed.Early intervention and conservative treatment can alleviate symptoms, shorten the course of disease and promote their early recovery.
