Effects of drospirosterone ethinylestradiol combined with metformin on serum lipids, blood sugar and ovarian function in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome with dyslipidemia
Objective To investigate the effects of drospirosterone and ethinylestradiol combined with metformin on blood lipid, blood glucose and ovarian function in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)complicated with dyslipidemia. Methods 84 patients with PCOS and lipid metabolism disorders were divided into study group and control group according to random number table method, with 42 patients in each group. The control group was treated with drospiroone ethinylestradiol alone, and the study group was treated with metformin on the basis of the control group.Blood lipid, blood glucose and ovarian function indexes were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 courses of treatment, blood glucose, blood lipid and ovarian function indexes of the study group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Drospirosterone and ethinylestradiol combined with metformin in the treatment of patients with PCOS with glucose and lipid metabolism disorder can effectively regulate blood lipids, blood sugar levels, and improve ovarian function, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
