Diagnostic value of colposcopy combined with HPV examination for early screening of cervical lesions
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of colposcopy combined with human papillomavirus(HPV)testing for early screening of cervical lesions. Methods 120 patients screened for early cervical lesions were selected as the study subjects. All patients underwent colposcopy and HPV examination, and the diagnostic efficacy of different examination methods was compared based on pathological examination results as the gold standard. Results Pathological examination showed positive results in 80 cases, colposcopy examination showed positive results in 72 cases,HPV examination showed positive results in 70 cases, and colposcopy combined with HPV examination showed positive results in 80 cases. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of colposcopy combined with HPV examination in diagnosing early cervical lesions are higher than those of colposcopy and HPV examination(P<0.05).Conclusion In early screening of cervical lesions, the combination of colposcopy and HPV examination has high diagnostic value and is consistent with pathological examination results, which can provide support for subsequent treatment.
