Effect of hysteroscopic surgery combined with progesterone on postoperative recurrence of multiple endometrial polyps
Objective To investigate the effect of hysteroscopic surgery combined with progesterone on postoperative recurrence of multiple endometrial polyps. Methods 56 patients with multiple endometrial polyps were randomly divided into a control group and a study group. The control group(28 cases)received hysteroscopic surgery, and the study group(28 cases)received hysteroscopic surgery combined with progesterone. The efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results 6 months after surgery, the endometrial thickness of the study group was thinner and the hemoglobin level was higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).3 and 6 months after surgery, the menstrual volumes of the study group were lower and the periods were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).3 months after surgery, there was no significant difference in the recurrence rate of polyps between the two groups(P>0.05);6 months and 1 year after surgery, the polyp recurrence rates of the study group were 0 and 3.57%,respectively,lower than 14.29%and 25.00%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with multiple endometrial polyps, hysteroscopic surgery combined with progesterone can reduce endometrial thickness, improve menses and reduce the risk of polyp recurrence.
