Effect of ergometrine injection combined with oxytocin on preventing postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine contraction fatigue
Objective To analyze the effect of ergometrine injection combined with oxytocin on preventing postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine contraction fatigue. Methods 60 parturients who underwent cesarean section in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups, each with 30 cases, using a random number table method. After delivery, the control group of parturients were treated with intravenous oxytocin, while the study group of parturients were treated with intravenous oxytocin+ergometrine.Compare the therapeutic effects of two groups. Results The postpartum blood losses and fundus positions in the study group were lower than those in the control group, while the duration of uterine contraction and lochia duration were(13.87±4.29)d and(1.69±0.38)d,respectively,which were shorter than(21.86±5.35)d and(3.52±0.53)d in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, and the D-dimer and fibrinogen levels were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Injecting ergometrine and oxytocin to postpartum women after delivery can effectively prevent uterine atony induced postpartum hemorrhage, promote uterine involution, improve coagulation function, and have good safety.
