Comparison of the efficacy of implantable intravenous infusion port and PICC in patients with gynecological malignant tumors undergoing chemotherapy
Objective To compare and analyze the effect of implantable intravenous infusion port and peripherally inserted central venous catheters(PICC)in patients with gynecological malignant tumor underwent chemotherapy. Methods 60 gynecological malignant tumor patients ungerwent chemotherapy in the hospital were selected and were divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received intravenous chemotherapy with PICC,and the observation group received intravenous chemotherapy with implantable intravenous infusion port. The catheterization and indwelling, catheterization maintenance time and catheter indwelling time, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the success rate of one-time catheterization between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the catheter retention rates in the observation group were higher, the rate of accidental extubation was lower, the catheterization maintenance time was shorter, and the catheter indwelling time was longer(P<0.05).The incidence of complications during catheterization in the observation group was 6.67%,lower than 40.00%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with PICC,implantable intravenous infusion port for patients with gynecological malignant tumor ungergoing chemotherapy has shorter catheter maintenance time and longer indentation time, which can avoid pain caused by repeated puncture and lower complication rate, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
