The application value of oxytocin in obstetric delivery process
Objective To explore the application value of oxytocin in obstetric delivery process. Methods 100 postpartum women who were admitted to our hospital for delivery were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into two groups, each with 50 cases. The control group delivered according to the conventional delivery process, while the observation group received intravenous infusion of oxytocin during delivery. The labor process time, postpartum hemorrhage, maternal pain, cesarean section rate, and vaginal surgical delivery rate of the two groups of patients were compared to evaluate the value of oxytocin during delivery. Results The observation group had a first stage of labor time of(720.21±103.63)minutes,a second stage of labor time of(160.25±10.32)minutes,and a third stage of labor time of(6.35±0.26)minutes.The control group had a first stage of labor time of(768.68±123.25)minutes,a second stage of labor time of(178.54±13.21)minutes,and a third stage of labor time of(8.25±1.23)minutes.The observation group had a 2-hour postpartum bleeding volume of(152.23±14.25)ml,while the control group had a 2-hour postpartum bleeding volume of(180.24±12.38)ml.The incidence of pain in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The rates of surgical assisted delivery, neonatal asphyxia, and cesarean section in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Oxytocin has a positive impact on indicators such as maternal pain, cesarean section rate, and vaginal surgical delivery rate.
